KEYSIGHT SOFTWARE (DEVELOPED TOOLS) CATEGORY

LINK

(1) VSA SOFTWARE DATA (for student analysis and testing) A set of 16 subfolders, each containing a set of three 'unknown' data examples consisting of either digitally modulated signals or signals conforming to one of the common digital cellular standards. The solution file is also included in the general 'LABTEST1' folder

VSA FILES for ANALYSIS

(2) VEE EXECUTABLE ROUTINES 1 (developed by Roderick Turner) : these routines were developed for an advanced communications course to provide a method of review for AM, FM, Digital Logic, Pulse Train Characteristics, ASK, FSK, and PSK

VEE EXECUTABLE FILES

(3) VEE EXECUTABLE ROUTINES 2 (developed by Chris Rodgers):: a wide variety of VEE routines developed for use in an advanced data communications course.

These programs were written by Professor Chris Rodgers. The attached ZIP file contains dozens of Keysight (formerly Agilent) VEE Runtime programs which touch on various aspects covered in communications systems courses at Seneca College. Instructions are included in almost all programs. They have been designed to be as intuitive as possible and to enable students to explore key points in modern communication systems.

In order to run these programs, it's first necessary to download and install VEE Runtime on your Windows PC. This program is free to use and can be obtained at the following link:

http://www.keysight.com/main/software.jspx?cc=US&lc=eng&nid=-11143.0.00&id=2213956&pageMode=PV

Once installed, VEE Runtime will "hide" in the background. It will not appear as an icon nor on the Windows Programs list. However, when you double click on any VEE Runtime program (.VXE), that program should automatically launch. Follow the program instructions from there.

If you find any errors or have constructive comments to make, please forward them to me at chris.rodgers@senecaccollege.ca

I hope you find these programs useful. I sure had fun writing them. Enjoy!

(4) GPRS WPA 'Unknown' Files: three sample files usable with the full version of the Agilent GPRS Wireless Protocol Advisor, illustrating specific link activities such as connect, disconnect, and voice call

GPRS WPA  FILES

(5) E6474A WIRELESS NETWORK OPTIMIZATION 'unknown' files: this folder contains a set of 15 subfolders each with both PLAN file data and raw captured call information for use with the E6474A software. These files can be used for analysis testing and training only (post-capture analysis), and do not require a live phone connection. A solution file is included in the main 'LABTEST2' folder
